Cloudant have enhanced BigCouch and are donating those enhancements to the CouchDB project. Cloudant will switch active development to ASF infrastructure after this donation, we do not intend to remain outside of the normal ASF contribution workflow after this update.
This consists of several new erlang applications and significant improvements and fixes to the core CouchDB code
