All it takes is 4 easy steps to join the QA project.
First of all, you need an account with OpenOffice.org.

Next, sign up as a member of the QA project. Members of the QA project can obtain special privileges like permissions modify the QA web page, or contribute items to the QA CVS trees.

Subscribe yourself to the qa@openoffice.apache.org mailing list.
You can do so by sending an email to
dev-subscribe@qa.openoffice.org

Finally, get the privileges required to modify IZ issues.
Send a message with the subject line:
Volunteer Privileges - <Your OpenOffice.org Userid Here>
to the qa@openoffice.apache.org mailing list requesting privileges to modify IZ issues.
