Converts serialized Hive expression into filter in the format suitable for Filter.g.

Parameters:

expr - Serialized expression.

Returns:

The filter string.

Throws:

MetaException

filterPartitionsByExpr

boolean filterPartitionsByExpr(List<String> partColumnNames,
                             List<PrimitiveTypeInfo> partColumnTypeInfos,
                             byte[] expr,
                             String defaultPartitionName,
                             List<String> partitionNames)
                               throws MetaException

Filters the partition names via serialized Hive expression.

Parameters:

partColumnNames - Partition column names in the underlying table.

partColumnTypeInfos - Partition column types in the underlying table

expr - Serialized expression.

defaultPartitionName - Default partition name from job or server configuration.

partitionNames - Partition names; the list is modified in place.

Returns:

Whether there were any unknown partitions preserved in the name list.

Throws:

MetaException
