Method Detail

esc

public static String esc(String str)

Provide XHTML-safe escaping for a string. Basically, this is the same as XML-escaping, but since some user agents don't recognize ', we use ' instead.

Parameters:

str - String to escape.

Returns:

str escaped.

isLocalhost

public static boolean isLocalhost(String host)

Tell if a host name refers to the localhost. This checks the standard IPv6 address, IPv4 address, and host name for localhost.

Parameters:

host - Host name to check.

Returns:

True if host names the localhost.
