Function

Specifies the protocol and subprotocol portions of the database connection URL for connections. Automatically loads the appropriate driver for recognized subprotocol. The recognized protocol is:

• jdbc:derby:

Allows you to use a short form of a database name.

Syntax

ij.protocol=protocolForEnvironment

Examples

D:>java -Dij.protocol=jdbc:derby:
    org.apache.derby.tools.ij
