Modularity and loose coupling are key concepts for todays software development. OSGi is the first choice for highly modular, dynamic, and extensible applications. The theory sounds very tempting but what about the real world? This session focuses on a practical introduction into the key concepts of OSGi for modularity and loose coupling, like bundles and services. Learn how to avoid the typical traps and how to use important parts of the OSGi specification like declarative services, configuration management and event handling. Adequate samples in combination with the right tooling give you a quickstart into the successful development with OSGi. The session is based on the various subprojects from Apache Felix.
