Building Geronimo Plugins with Eclipse

This presentation will describe how to build Geronimo Plugins using Eclipse. In the course of the presentation, we'll also be learning about Geronimo's plugin-based architecture, overviewing of Geronimo server administration, and demonstrating application deveopment using Eclipse. The presentation will focus on a new features which allow Eclipse users to develop and test Geronimo plugins from within the Eclipse IDE. This new support also includes the ability to build custom Geronimo server assemblies (Geronimo server instances which only contains a subset of a full Geronimo Java EE server. These custom assemblies have multiple advantages. Since they only contain the minimum set of plugins, custom server assemblies have a smaller footprint, faster start up times, and reduced administrative overhead.
