The Apache Axis provider allows WSIF to invoke SOAP services via the use of Apache Axis

The Axis provider offers a greater level of function than the Apache SOAP provider and it is for this reason that it is the default soap provider i.e. the default provider for the http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/ namespace.
