Road Map
Before an initial release
- Demonstrate the ability to run HDFS on a set of hosts and the Hadoop JobTrackers in virtual machines while maintaining data-local performance: Done at CMU in 2010.
- Integrate with Zoni: Done by Richard Gass
- Have at least a rudimentary resource log to permit billing: Done by Michael Stroucken
Current issues
- Provide ACLs for disk images
- Support F10 switches in Zoni: Michael Stroucken
Long-term
- Continue work on EC2 interface, permit use of EC2 management utils
- Add support for authentication services
- Add support for at least one slice-based virtual machine manager
- Design a "disk broker" architecture: Richard Gass

Disclaimer
Apache Tashi is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software
Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the Apache Incubator PMC.
Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further
review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision
making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other
successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a
reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does
indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.
