These action items have to be checked for during the whole incubation
process.
These items are not to be signed as done during incubation, as they
may change during incubation.
They are to be looked into and described in the status reports and
completed in the request for incubation signoff.
- Have all of the active long-term volunteers been identified and
acknowledged as committers on the project? ... Yes, though we expect
to add new committers in the future. For example. Hitachi will be
contributing a couple developers in the near future, and a company
called Gestalt has expressed interest in contributing some manpower.
- Are there three or more independent committers? ... Yes - HP (4),
Globus (2), and CA (1).
- Are project decisions being made in public by the committers? ...
Yes, we vote on all important decisions (for example, cutting a
release or changing the project name).
- Are the decision-making guidelines published and agreed to by all of
the committers? ... Yes, we use the standard ASF voting procedure.
- Are all licensing, trademark, credit issues being taken care of and
acknowleged by all committers? ... Yes, we are only using 3rd-party
libs with ASF-compatible licenses, and we are not using any
trademarked names without proper acknowledgement.
Add project specific tasks here.
Things to check for before voting the project out.
- Has the PMC voted to accept it? ... Yes, the WebServices PMC has
accepted responsibility for the project.
- Has the Incubator decided that the project has accomplished all of
the above tasks? ... A VOTE was intitiated by dims on 2005-05-27 and
incubation was successfully completed on 2005-06-03.
