Apache 1.2b7 Now Available

The seventh beta of Apache 1.2 has now been released. Yet again, there are significant number of bugfixes and performance enhancements - if you are running a beta of 1.2 at all, you should upgrade to 1.2b7, for both stability and security reasons. We hope that this will be a release candidate, and if there are no problems with it 1.2 final will be released.

Security Release: Apache 1.1.3

If you are running a version of Apache older than 1.1.3, you should upgrade to 1.1.3 or to the most recent 1.2 beta version, due to security concerns found in the 1.1.1 codebase. More details....

The Number One Server On The Web

Apache has been the most popular web server in the world for more than 12 months now.. The March WWW server site survey by Netcraft found that more web servers were using Apache than any other software. Apache and its derivatives are run on over 45% of all web domains on the internet.

The Apache project has been organized in an attempt to answer some of the concerns regarding active development of a public domain HTTP server for UNIX. The goal of this project is to provide a secure, efficient and extensible server which provides HTTP services in sync with the current HTTP standards.
