The general mailing list is for discussion of Hadoop-related issues that are not specific to a Hadoop sub-project. All Hadoop releases are announced on this list.

The security mailing list is a private list for discussion of potential security vunerability issues. Please post potential security vunerabilities to this list so that they may be investigated and fixed before the vunerability is published.
