newbackned - staging area for new backend [redesigned] interfaces.

cache - Robb's ALCC cache experiment.

07-16-2003:rpenoyer:I added the ALCC cache code and docs.

protocol was something Berin started working on to have a common network layer
API.  I'm putting it here into sandbox until he can get back to it.

osgi - OSGi wrappers for the Apache Directory, covering such components as the backing store, MINA, and the protocol-providers.
