Use pattern sets in <javac/>, to include/exclude files, and modify
all build.xml to override the sets, if nescessary.

Make it work with clean global ant.  Now both ./ant and a system
installed ant will work; tested in a brand new clean chroot.

ant itself doesn't support such a construct.

Another minor optimization; no longer need to specify classpathref in
all the build.xml files.

is available in more places.

The build.xml files are now much smaller and simpler; they reuse a
few global definitions.  1585 lines removed.
