Readme for Samples for SDKtest_client Plugins ============================================= hello_world.c - Example of the most basic routine of writing the SDKtest_client plugin. This example simply prints a statement to standard error within the TSPluginInit() to make sure that the plugin is successfully loaded when SDKtest_client starts running. SimSDKtest.c - Simulate the default way of generating requests by the SDKtest_client The plugin reads in the origin_servers, hotset, docset, hitrate, and docsize_dist_file options specified in the SDKtest_client.config by registering TSOptionsProcess(). Then it fills in the request headers into the buffer based on the above criteria in TSRequestCreate(). The request headers generated are in the following format: GET [www.hostname.com:port]/serial_number/lengthxxx HTTP/1.0 Accept: */* Host: hostname:port Similar to SDKtest, it keeps track of the number of bytes received and the number of successful requests and finally report the result through registering TSReport(). SimSDKtestCache.c - Simulate the default way of generating requests by the SDKtest_client with cachability specified in the client request header in some percentage. The way it generates the requests is similar to SimSDKtest.c example. It only differs by adding a 'Cache-Control' header in the MIME field in request header. Added Options in SDKtest_client.config cachability : percentage of cachable requests we want to generate BlackList.c - Generate requests to the web servers listed in the files specified by allowed_host_file and forbidden_host_file in some forbidden ratio specified in the configuration file. This example is targeted to test the performance of proxy server with filtering functionality. Added Options in SDKtest_client.config - forbidden_ratio : percentage of blacklisted requests we want to generate allowed_host_file : full path of the file that contains the allowed sites forbidden_host_file : full path of the file that contains the forbidden sites Note: This example can support multiple client machines only if allowed_host_file and forbidden_host_file can be accessed by the client machines through the same specified path in the configuration file. CheckContentClient.c - Do sanity check on every byte in the responded documents. Since we are expecting the documents that are sent by the original server are in the following format: 01234567890123456789012... ie. The nth byte of the document should be [(n-1)%10] character at the position, we can check if we are getting back the right content. Note: This example needs to work with the CheckContentServer plugin for SDKtest_server.
