Tcl - Tool Command Language

 Towards the end of the 80ies, UC Berkeley professor John Ousterhout
 realized that writing small scripting/configuration languages for his
 applications was a time-consuming endeavour, and thus created one
 language that could be used for embedding and extending his
 programs.  Since then, Tcl has grown and matured, and continues to be
 one of the best scripting languages available because it is flexible
 enough to be used for an impressive array of tasks, from the web, to
 EDA's, to automated testing.  This talk gives an overview of the
 features of the Tcl system, like its extensibility (both in Tcl and
 in C), flexibility, the Tk graphical toolkit, and more.

 capi` che scrivere piccoli linguaggi di scripting e/o configurazione
 per i suoi programmi gli portava via troppo tempo, e cosi` creo` un
 unico linguaggio da usare con tutto.  Tcl e` cresciuto e maturato e
 continua ad essere uno dei linguaggi migliori di scripting per il
 fatto di essere abbastanza flessibile da usare per una varieta`
 impressionante di ambienti, dal web, agli EDA, al testing.  Il talk
 si propone come sopraluogo dei features di questo sistema, come la
 sua estensibilita` (anche in C), flessibilita`, il sistema grafico
 Tk, e altre cose ancora.
