About Tapestry

Tapestry is a sophisticated framework for building a Web application from software components.

Tapestry exploits the dynamic nature of the Java language, leveraging the JavaBeans API, as well as servlets and other J2EE technology. Tapestry applications are fast, scalable, dynamic and powerful.

Tapestry components are a combination of a specification file (in XML), an HTML template and a small Java class that subclasses from an class provided in the framework. Tapestry components are combined together to form larger components or complete Tapestry pages.

More details on Tapestry are available in the Developer's Guide and the Tapestry Tutorial.
