Building FISE
=============

You need Java 6 and maven (version as defined in the pom).

You probably need
  export MAVEN_OPTS="-Xmx512M -XX:MaxPermSize=128M"
or similar.


Build the FISE framework and engine wrappers
--------------------------------------------

Checkout the source::

  % svn co https://iks-project.googlecode.com/svn/sandbox/fise/trunk/ fise

Build and run the tests::

  % cd fise
  % mvn -DskipTests install

Launch the FISE server::

  % cd launchers/lite/target
  % rm -rf sling                # erase previous sling install if any (optional)
  % java -jar org.apache.stanbol.enhancer.launchers.lite-*-SNAPSHOT.jar

And connect your browser to http://localhost:8080 for basic usage instructions.


Import the FISE project in the Eclipse IDE
------------------------------------------

At the toplevel FISE directory, run::

  % mvn eclipse:eclipse

Then in the eclipse interface choose::

  "Import..." > "Existing projects into Workspace"

And select the FISE root folder.


Hot (re-)deployment of a single bundle
--------------------------------------

If you are working on specific subproject (e.g. a new engine) can you test it on
a running FISE instance without redeploying the complete server from scracth.

Just go to the uour project folder and run::

  % mvn install -o -DskipTests -PinstallBundle -Dsling.url=http://localhost:8080/system/console
