2020 March - Board report for Apache Shiro

Apache Shiro is a powerful and flexible open-source application security
framework that cleanly handles authentication, authorization, enterprise
session management and cryptography.

We have no issues that require Board assistance at this time.

Releases: 
  
- Last release was 1.5.1 on 23-Feb-2020

Community & Project:

- dev and user list activity has gone up this quarter

- As of the 1.5, Shiro requires Java 8+

- Our latest committers / PMC members have been helping bring some new life to the project

- Feature development on master is going strong and helping modernize the project.
