2019 March - Board report for Apache Shiro

Apache Shiro is a powerful and flexible open-source application security
framework that cleanly handles authentication, authorization, enterprise
session management and cryptography.

We have no issues that require Board assistance at this time.

Releases: 
  
- Last release was 1.4.0 on 05-May-2017

Community & Project:

- Our latest committer / PMC member has been helping bring some new life to the project

- Project commits and message on the dev list has gone up since the start of the year

- Feature development is planned to continue against master.

- The 1.4.0 Release has been a step toward modernizing Shiro as well as retain backwards compatibility
