- build sitebook docs (./build.sh site)
- update java.apache.org with newest version and an announcement
- post to javaworld.com
- post to freshmeat.net
- post to mailing lists
    - java-apache@java.apache.org
    - general@xml.apache.org
    - general@jakarta.apache.org
    - 
- test the build
- tag CVS with the revision release number
- move around TODO notes so that any done items are reflected in TODO/CHANGELOG
- build Javadoc
