Setting up: -> Install and configure: mac : ./configure --prefix=/Users/_your_username_/mpich2-install ubuntu : ./configure --prefix=/home/_your_username_/mpich2-install Then... sudo make sudo make install -> Optional: add mpich binaries to PATH.
