What are Apache Zeta Components?

Apache Zeta Components are a high quality, general purpose library of loosly
coupled components for development of applications based on PHP 5. Beside
typical modules for web application development, like a Template engine,
Database tools and an MVC component, Apache Zeta Components contain command
line tools, a chart rendering library, a WebDAV server, a universal document
conversion component and many more tools to ease developers live.

Apache Zeta Components is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache
Software Foundation (ASF). Incubation is required of all newly accepted
projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure,
communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner
consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not
necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does
indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.

Apache Zeta Components originally were developed by `eZ Systems`__ under the
name "eZ Components" and was generously sponsored to the `Apache Software
Foundation`__ for further development. Since 07/2010 the components are known
as "Apache Zeta Components". eZ Systems still builds their core products on top
of Apache Zeta Components and contributes to the project.
