The Feed package provides access to syndication feeds, but also contains
functionality to generate feeds. The Feed component supports multiple feed
types and also offers ways to use additional modules in the feed types that
support that.

Requirements
============

- Support for many different feed types.

- Support for both parsing and generating feeds.

- Support for additional modules on top of the standard feed types (in the case
  the feed type supports that).

Design goals
============

Syndication and aggregation are important aspects of modern web applications.
Handling feeds can be cumbersome as you need to take care of encodings,
different feed types and modules. This component is designed to be as flexible
as possible with the support of different types (with plugins) but also allows
a solid base to generate and parse feeds.
